Wood, Shingles, Plumbing and a trip to Cali

What a difference a few weeks make! We've made some major progress on our house this month. April 6th they finished up the framing and started putting the plywood around the sides.

 



By the next day it looked like this!

Then I went away for a few days to this...............

Nearly 15,000 of the happiest, most driven, motivated, giving people for Nerium's semi-annual conference. We were in San Jose, California this time and boy was it a doozie! So many exciting things happening with this company.

 I love these people! Not only do I get to work with them but they are now like my family.

 And I don't know what I would do without these girls. We all come from different geographic areas, backgrounds and personalities........but they are now like my sisters!

We have THE BEST team ever!! What a fun week it was!
And when I came home and went to check on the house it looked like this!!!

As far as selections I got the brick and stone picked out a few weeks ago and I'm finishing up the lighting selections. I've been finishing the flooring selections and tomorrow I have to pick the paint color for the trim outside. Its so much fun but gets a little overwhelming too! I can't wait for it all to come together.

And finally this week we finished with a finished roof!!!

 





Easter, framing and Bible verses

Happy Easter! We had a wonderful day at church this morning followed by lunch with our family and friends and then of course a visit to the new house. It seems we can't get enough of it! In the past 4 days it has gone from this:

I still can't believe it!!It really looks like a house now! Every time we go by, I pull up with the biggest smile and can't quit smiling. It seems so surreal.

Here was the play by play this week:
Tuesday they came out and got all of the dirt smoothed out and compacted around the foundation.

Wednesday they started delivering the wood.

And by Thursday afternoon it looked like this:

Our friends and future neighbors came out and we had a cookout and enjoyed the view! We even brought the workers some hotdogs and they ended up working until 7pm! (A little kindness goes a long way!!)

I love this picture! They were standing there watching them work and put their arms around one another and I'm so glad I got a picture! Proof that they do love each other!

Then yesterday we were out there 3 different times! This was what it looked like around 11 am:

Today was Easter and we spent the morning and afternoon at church and eating with our family and friends.

Then this evening we headed back to the new house to pray over the house and write scriptures on the studs.

Ok, so it rained this morning and was muddy, hence the lovely outfit!

 We wrote some of our favorite verses all over the house. Then in the hallway leading to the kids bedrooms I wrote this one. It was from a Gideon Bible my grandparents gave us with highlighted scripture. We will place this Bible within the walls by the front door of our home.
