To this:
I still can't believe it!!It really looks like a house now! Every time we go by, I pull up with the biggest smile and can't quit smiling. It seems so surreal.
Here was the play by play this week:
Tuesday they came out and got all of the dirt smoothed out and compacted around the foundation.
Wednesday they started delivering the wood.
And by Thursday afternoon it looked like this:
Lily and Daddy in her bedroom:
Kate and Mommy in her room:
Entrance from the back patio:
Lifting up our bedroom wall:
Our friends and future neighbors came out and we had a cookout and enjoyed the view! We even brought the workers some hotdogs and they ended up working until 7pm! (A little kindness goes a long way!!)
I love this picture! They were standing there watching them work and put their arms around one another and I'm so glad I got a picture! Proof that they do love each other!
Then yesterday we were out there 3 different times! This was what it looked like around 11 am:
The fireplace:
The back patio:
The ceiling is going up!
Hallway from the bedrooms looking into the formal dining with the living room to the left and the study to the right:
The pass through from my kitchen to the living room:
Looking from the front door to the living room:
The view out my living room to the back yard:
Around 3 pm this was happening:
Standing in the backyard:
The view from the street:
And then at 7 pm we went back out and met our friends for a campfire and more admiration of the house! haha
They started the roof already!!
The front door looking through to the back:
Today was Easter and we spent the morning and afternoon at church and eating with our family and friends.
Then this evening we headed back to the new house to pray over the house and write scriptures on the studs.
Ok, so it rained this morning and was muddy, hence the lovely outfit!
We wrote some of our favorite verses all over the house. Then in the hallway leading to the kids bedrooms I wrote this one. It was from a Gideon Bible my grandparents gave us with highlighted scripture. We will place this Bible within the walls by the front door of our home.
You can see the roof through the ceiling boards:
Looking into the family room from the formal dining room.
This is how we left it tonight! We can't wait to see what all happens this week!!
Happy Easter! And like a little boy said to a kid who said "I hate Easter! I hate the Easter Bunny!"-----"Its not about the Easter bunny. Easter is about Jesus who died on the cross for our sins!"
HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED!!
