And let there be dry wall!

For Mother's Day the girls got me 2 Satsuma trees. If you don't know what satsumas are they're like the little cutie oranges. Only 1,000 better! We could seriously eat 12 a day! I'm so excited we have some land now and have plenty of room to plant fruits and veggies. These trees are just the beginning!

They also finally finished our water well. I think they ended up having to drill 680 feet down! The bad news is you have to pay for every foot they drill. The good news is no water bill so "free" water now!

This is the water tank in the garage.

Electricity was completely finished!

And the stone was delivered!!

Last week the foam insulation was done. This is looking up into the garage ceiling.

And finally what I've been waiting for! Today we went out there and ta-da.......................

When we decided we were going to build a house there were a few things I wanted to do: write scriptures on the walls and place a Bible in the foundation.

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock."  Matthew 7:24

We decided to put the Bible my Grandparents gave us in the walls of our house instead of the foundation so that maybe one day someone will find it. My Grandparents highlighted some of their favorite verses and wrote us a nice note inside. Then I sealed it up in a ziplock bag, wrote our names on it and May 2015. The dry wall was already completed by the front door by the time we got there so we placed it by the garage door. The kind gentleman that was installing the dry wall asked if he'd like me to have him hang it with a nail. So he nailed it to one of the studs. This is one of those special touches that I LOVE about our house!

We also had some dirt work done in the front yard to fill it in and even it out. It made a huge difference!

Its so nice to "see" some changes again! For so long you couldn't see a whole lot of changes while they were putting in the electrical, plumbing and A/C. But walking in today I couldn't wipe the HUGE grin off of my face. It was another huge step towards out dream home being finished and proof that we WILL get to actually live here soon!!
